Safety Equipment
You should have access to the following Safety Equipment:
- First Aid Kit
- Pair of Safety Glasses
Other Safety Equipment that Professional Installers should carry but Handymen doing one off type installations shouldn’t require but can be useful depending on what you are installing:
- Hard Hat
- High Visibility Vest
- Boots
- Disposal Face Masks
Working in Roof Spaces or Under Houses
You should always have your Cell Phone with you in case you get into difficulty
Hazard Management
You should always follow the following rules
- Identify what hazards exist
- Discuss with your Manager, Partner or Family what you are doing
- Decide what controls, if any, need to be put in place
- Implement the controls
Emergency Procedures
You should always follow the following rules
- Know what to do in an emergency
- Ensure your first aid kit is available and well stocked
